PAYATE QR publishes free tools and practical guides about QR codes. This policy explains how we create, check and update our content.
Our standards
- Accurate: technical details (QR formats, Wi-Fi strings, vCard fields, error correction) are checked against official standards such as ISO/IEC 18004 and vendor documentation.
- Tested: every QR type and design style is generated and decoded with an independent QR decoder before release.
- Clear: we write in plain English, explain limits honestly and avoid exaggerated claims.
- Helpful first: we only publish content that helps people create, print and use QR codes safely.
Independence and advertising
PAYATE QR is funded by advertising. Advertisers have no influence over our tools, guides or recommendations, and ads are always visually separated from our content. We do not accept payment for favorable mentions.
Updates and corrections
We review our guides regularly and update them when phones, apps or standards change. If you find an error, please tell us through our Contact Us page — we correct confirmed mistakes promptly and note significant changes.
Who writes our content
Content is written and reviewed by the PAYATE team, who build and maintain free tools across the PAYATE network. Learn more on our About Us page and see how the tool works in our Methodology.
